  Had a take away last Saturday. Ordered at 6pm for 7pm collection. Thought menu was quite expensive but thought it would be different. When I turned up it was very busy and no where for people to wait to collect take aways. Had to wait 15 minutes before food was ready even though I had given the place an hour to prepare the food. The food was ok. Nothing special particularly thought the sauces in the curries we had were quite watery and unnecessarily coloured. The Base camp curry was good and the nan bread was good. Overall just a bit basic and will proably go back to eastern eye next time. However we will try a sit down meal in there before we write it off completely.

  Really perhaps the best Indian and certainl the best Nepalese restaurant for miles around. Cosy place, friendly service, really excellent food. Im from Coventry originally and been in Devon 15 years. I have always missed the Asian, Indian, Bangladeshi restaurants that are all over the Midlands. The Gurkha Chef rivals the best of them.
